Today I read a magazine "Psychology Today".
An essay refers to "Hot or not".
I think many people are fixated on his or her own appearance.
However, actually the appearance doesn't matter to me.
I think personality is more important than appearance.
It says "With looks, as in other domains of life, we relish recognition more and recover better from failure when we believe that good results come from effort and not just from what God gave us. If you are born lovely, you have only your parents' genetic contributions to thank. But if you become more attractive because you've invested energy in taking good care of yourself, the credit is all yours."
It is true and meaningful.
Therefore we don't care how looks we are. Even though we are ungly, we can change it by ourselves.
On one hand, the appearance is natural; on the other hand, we all have the innate ability to change how other people perceive us, without a physical transformation of any kind.
When you're convinced you look good, others see you in a more favorable light.
